3. Step‑by‑Step Painting Guide

Priming

Start with a smooth coat of Vallejo Grey Primer. Ensure full coverage, especially around the swirling lower body. Let it dry completely before painting.

Basecoating

Apply Sky Blue to the skin areas using thin layers. For armor and decorative elements, use Old Gold. The cloth and cloud-like lower body should be painted Ivory.

Dry Brushing

Lightly dry brush Ice Blue over the skin to bring out muscle definition. Use Polished Gold on armor edges to create a subtle metallic shimmer. For the lower body, dry brush White to enhance the airy, ethereal effect.

Highlighting

Add highlights to raised areas with lighter tones: mix Sky Blue + White for skin and Ivory + White for cloth. Keep strokes gentle and controlled.

Layering

Deepen shadows with a Black Wash, focusing on recesses under the arms, around the belt, and beneath folds. Reapply base colours to smooth transitions.

Final Touches

Paint gemstones Red, then add a tiny dot of White for reflection. Seal your work with Matte Varnish to protect the finish and unify the tones.
